What training methods are used? A common question for dog owners, interested in training services, is "what are the Training Methods?".
This is a difficult question to answer for a training program that uses more involved practices.
What can be explained is that my Training Methods are neither treat-based; nor are they physically corrective.
Instead, my methods are based upon the realization that the time to manage a behavioral issue came days before it even occurred.
The most efficient way to train a dog is by positioning him using every day, subtle ways. The similar way how control is established within a wild-dog, or a wolf-pack. Not only is this a more effective way to train a dog; but it also avoids the problems that corrective physical punishment often creates.
My training method is first to address why the dog is misbehaving and then to directly approach a problem if it still even exists.
I do not live in the Center City area of Philadelphia. Is there a way to avoid the fee increase for you to come here? Yes, many dog owners chose to meet me in the city.
If I terminate training, but still have Private Training sessions left can I be refunded the unused portion? No, unfortunately, all services are sold as a package and credits, refunds, prorating or transferring of service is not allowed.
Can I have you hold group obedience classes at my location? Yes. This has been done by dog parks, animal hospitals and even dog owners have even set this up in their home. Obedience Classes can be held in a variety of places, including a back yard.
Why are the Behavioral Seminars and Group Obedience Classes free? The cost for the seminars and group obedience classes was originally $150.00. The costs were waived for those that adopted dogs from the Philadelphia area dog rescues, refuges and adoption agencies. In time, the training was extended to all participants at no-cost.
